Hasbro Expectations
Compared to our other games the expectations you have as a store for keeping Clue in good condition should always be dialed up to 11. Hasbro has strict expectations about the look and gameplay of their rooms and conducts surprise visits throughout the year. This is to say you must be on top of replacing dingy props, cleaning hidden corners, keeping steps functioning properly, and staying faithful to the original design of the room.
If Hasbro is made aware that a game that is malfunctioning, full of incorrect print and props, looking run down, or any combination of these things, they have the authority to close the room down until it is back to passable condition.
What does this mean for your store?
- All props and clues must be the official finalized designs or approved ordered items.
- Print collateral should always be the tear-proof paper instead of laminated. This can be ordered at your local print shop or FedEx.
- Paint and wallpaper must be meticulously kept up with. All colors must be the correct shade and no damage should exist to the walls/wallpaper. Large hand grease areas and gouges are maybe good things to specifically look out for, as well as peeling wallpaper, and flooring damage is something to look out for as well. Big white (or MDF colored) spots where paint/wallpaper/wall have been scraped or ripped away.
- The overall condition of the room must be free of major damage. For larger issues, like the bookcase or dumbwaiter, contact Tech Support immediately to get them repaired.
- For issues that aren’t tech support’s purview, like floor issues or water damage, you should be working with Ross to get a local contractor to get those issues resolved.
Visual Expectations
All Hasbro rooms have high standards when it comes to visual upkeep. See the images below for each room to get a better understanding of how your room should look at all times.
