Plates are correct but won't go up

If the audio played like they got it correct, but the plates didn’t move and the door is still open, then the guests messed up.

They only lightly tapped it closed instead of letting the magnets catch, For safety reasons, the dumbwaiter cannot move unless the door is closed.
If you or the guests hold the dumbwaiter door all the way closed, you can press the Dumbwaiter down control on the dashboard and it should move.

If thats not the issue then you’ll be troubleshooting:

Holding the dumbwaiter closed should set the Safety Switch to on during a game

If that safety switch is not turning on, then we hope its an issue with the input box
- Reset the Input 1 module, check if other switches under Input 1 (ie Hall Meeple, picture frames, pipe) are working correctly. If only safety switch isn’t then it might be broken
- You can check below for how to access underneath the dumbwaiter but if no wires are obviously loose talk with tech support about getting it replaced.

Deeper Fixes

The dumbwaiter is a fairly complex piece of tech for our rooms. There are many wires or small components that could fail. Mostly you’ll want to work with tech support on any issues underneath the dumbwaiter but here is how to access it and what it looks like under there.

First, swipe your keycard opposite from where you swipe to access the kitchen chute panel. Your original key card, if you still have it, should work here but if you don’t have one you can open this panel by fully unplugging Clue. Warning: Fully unplugging Clue can cause issues so only use this tactic if you HAVE to get under here!

Behind where you swipe the keycards, on either side, are two keypads:

You can unscrew and access these keypads if you need to program new keycards for the kitchen chute, or the one we just opened to get here.

Underneath the dumbwaiter are the sensors for the food. If you’re having trouble registering the plates work with tech support but here is what it looks like under there.
