Projector Not Powering On
First, a quick confirmation - is the room plugged in? If so, keep reading. If not, plug in the room and go from there.
- Check that the power cable to the projector is plugged in the back. If it is plugged in, check that the other end of the plug is also still plugged in to the power source.
- Is the projector overheating? Make sure the projector has proper ventilation and that the fan on the side is not covered.
- If you're still having issues, try replacing the projector with one of your backups and see if that helps.
- If that doesn't work, reach out to Support.
Projector Not Playing Video
Close the projector doors and punch in the code on the keypad. If the door opens, but the projector doesn’t play, then it is in issue on the projector side, otherwise the keypad might be at fault. There are a few things you can check:
- Confirm that the projector is on the right source, likely HDMI 1, You can navigate through the menus with the remote you use to turn it on.
- Ensure that the HDMI cable is still connected to the back of the projector. If it is, ensure that the HDMI cable is also attached to the BrightSign device behind the cabinet. If it is properly connected at both ends, and it's still not playing, you can try replacing the HDMI cable itself.
- If you've exhausted all options, then reach out to Support and they can recommend a fix.
If you need to replace the video, the file can be found here.
Replacing the Projector
There are only two cords connected to the projector: HDMI and power. You can probably use the old cords from the previous projector or swap for the new power cord in the box and any spare HDMI cord you have laying around.
The HDMI should plug directly into to the BrightSign, as seen in the Wires section.
