Maglocks not opening/closing
First a quick confirmation - is the room plugged in? Is the switch is flipped the right way for these magnets? If so, continue reading.
GENERAL NOTE: Make sure when you're closing these cabinet doors that you're not slamming them closed. This will jostle things behind the cabinets and potentially cause a larger issue. If the magnets are not closing with a moderately firm push, then you may need to troubleshoot the magnet further.
The most common fault is just a poor fit between the magnet and metal halves of the lock. These pieces must be perfectly flush in order to work. The doors on these cabinets are thin, the hinges small, and it's likely the door is just not matching up well when it closes. Try pressing it very firmly closed, confirm that the magnet is working by trying another piece of metal, and all the regular fixes for electromagnets.
If it closes but doesn’t open:
- Check the connection to the button/switch in the GM room on both ends.
- For the projector that wire should be connected to the color keypad instead of a switch

Test that the keypad is accepting the correct code and that the ribbon cables are connected to the back.
- Replace the electromagnet side of the lock
If it won’t close and we’ve confirmed the magnet is working:
- Loosen the screw holding the metal part of the lock in place, When it is loose the metal can wiggle a bit and find a better fit against the electromagnet
- Adjust the hinges on the door to better align the two halves of the lock
TV timer having issues
If your TV timer is having issues, it could be a myriad of things. First, figure out what kind of device you're using. If you have another device on hand, try testing that out first and see if it works. Alternatively, we have found the older Roku 3 devices to be the most reliable in addition to the newer Xiaomi.
